"SPOT" the Tech is where we will share some of the exciting STEAM projects and technology integration projects that are being created by the students at Francis A. March Elementary School. Our Ed Tech newsletter will be shared here as well, linked below:

During the 23-24 school year, March Elementary School became an Apple Distinguished School! To start that process, we surveyed our staff to determine technology needs, and along the way we implemented an Ed Tech Newsletter, as well as monthly Tech Tuesdays. We consistently work with staff to enhance lessons by utilizing a variety of apps on our student iPads. The STEAM Team has been busy creating lessons that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. These lessons include things like a Shoe Design Challenge, Recycled Robots, a Sugar Skulls Electricity lesson, and a STEAM activity on The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs.

We are extremely proud of our March STEAM Team who presented at the statewide Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo & Conference in Hershey on February 7th, 2024.  The team includes Mr. Gonzalez, Mrs. Chunko, Mrs. Linsenmann, Mrs. Gutshall, and Mrs. Laslo. In their session, entitled "School Wide STEAM Initiative," they shared how they developed their action plan, student rollout, professional development, monthly challenges, and so much more.  CONGRATS STEAM TEAM!
